"Colorado Springs mother, Trish Nixon talks about how she approached the 'drug talk' with her now 21 year-old daughter. This, as Colorado votes in November on a measure to legalize the recreational use of marijuana."
From the Associated Press
I believe the best comment that Trish Nixon (the mother who is featured in this piece) said was a very important point. She said (and I'm paraphrasing) that it's up to her daughter whether or not she uses marijuana or not. But similar to alcohol, anytime you put any drug in your body whether it's marijuana or alcohol, that drug is going to affect you and affect your personality. So you need to know what you are getting into before you take any drug.

I think that's what most pro-marijuana legalization supporters are saying here and I'm one of them. We're not saying that people should or should not use marijuana. We're saying that people who do choose to use marijuana recreationally, shouldn't be arrested for it when they're 21 or over and that it should be regulated like alcohol. As well as putting out all the best available information about marijuana and then letting free adults in America make that decision for themselves and having them live with consequences of their own choices and actions.
